Through Meekono, Daphne has focused on bridging the gap between talent and opportunity, combining digital commerce, AI-driven product development and mobile-first upskilling to help makers become market-ready and globally competitive.
At the heart of her work is a belief that African creativity is not a niche, but a powerful engine for jobs, cultural preservation and inclusive economic growth. Daphne is passionate about building systems that work for marginalised communities, ensuring technology opens doors rather than deepening exclusion. What are some of the biggest challenges you face as a single parent?
- The challenges we face can be profound and often indescribable. Each day brings its own set of silent battles that test our resilience and strength. For instance, after my separation, the support I once relied on vanished. If you have children under five, you know they’re always getting sick, and as a working mother, I found myself constantly calling out of work, worrying about my job and the example I was setting for my team.
 
-Remember, God sees your struggles and hears your prayers. He provides for our needs, often in ways we don’t expect. Trust in His provision and embrace the lessons that come from these challenges. Your honesty with your children is a powerful lesson in faith and resilience.

Khallil Lambin is a former professional footballer and ex-Muslim whose life was radically transformed by Jesus Christ. Born with a deep passion for the beautiful game, he spent over a decade playing football across Europe, Asia, and the UK. Though he experienced success on the pitch, Khallil found himself unfulfilled—searching for something fame, travel, and trophies couldn’t satisfy.

Since relocating to Uganda in 2010 as a refugee, Levis has harnessed the power of storytelling to foster healing, empowerment, and transformative change in his community.
As the co-founder and Executive Director of Voice of Refugee Media (VORM), Levis champions the stories of refugees through innovative mediums like film, photography, and digital storytelling. His notable productions, including "Ntumba: The Refugee Despite Him" and "The Outcomes," delve into the resilience and challenges faced by those living the refugee experience.
A self-taught artist and certified filmmaker, Levis believes that narratives—especially those from marginalized voices—can ignite meaningful conversations and bridge divides within communities. Beyond his film work, he is passionate about mentoring the next generation, particularly fellow refugees. He leads acting classes, conducts digital skills training, and supports creative initiatives that empower youth to share their stories and make their voices heard.
Levis also contributes to marketing and promotion at Stream Asylum, a refugee-led media organization, furthering his mission of amplifying diverse voices through art and advocacy. Driven by a personal loss, she has taken on the challenge of creating an affordable sunscreen specifically for people with albinism. After losing her father to skin cancer in 2017, Mwape recognized the urgent need for accessible sun protection, especially for those in low-income communities. 
Her dedication to this cause not only honors her father's memory but also highlights the important advocacy work being done by individuals like Muluka-Anne Miti Drummond, the UN Independent Expert on albinism, who is pushing for sunscreen to be included on the WHO’s list of essential medicines.
